Miss Independent

I think I made a mistake. Last week I started trying to teach Taylor how to feed herself with utensils. And now, that's all she wants to do. She rarely wants my help and sometimes if I don't give her the spoon she freaks out. She wants to do it by herself, and as a result mealtime is much slower and messier and more food is wasted. What have I done?! Can I go back in time?

Just wait for "mine" and "no"....those are the most fun! Good job Miss Taylor..I cannot believe how big she is getting!

Hopefully Taylor will realize that she gets more food if mommy or daddy feed her. That should work. Gran

You are on the rode to having a "Big Girl". Just wait till you feed her yogurt and she wants to do it by herself. She is adorable!

She's makin' a mess, for sure, but still looks lady-like with a bow in her hair! She's just learning to be more independent. You need a plastic tablecloth UNDER her chair. Makes clean up easier. :)

Maybe Taylor needs to wear a plastic bag so you can save time and laundry! I'm guessing teaching her to eat without clothes on would not be a good thing... And of course she's going to get food in her eye lashes, they are so long!! Lucky girl!
