My blog got pimped...sort of

Ok, so I know my new background and template aren't as cute as some of the ones my friends have that can be customized with the headers and the personalized signatures for each post, but hey, it was free! And if it's free it's for me! Or if you're an Alpha Gam you should be saying in your head right now, "Is it free?! What you mean is it free?" So anyway, I love it! I was so bored with the way it was looking and I was having major blog envy every time I went to some of my friends' blogs. So hopefully this will do for a while. Then when I get bored with this one, maybe I'll get one that you pay for...but probably not. After all, if it's free it's for me :)

Our Baby is 1 Year Old!

Taylor turned 1 today! Absolutely unbelievable! We are so thankful for the past year with her but it's hard to believe that it's been that long! Sweet Nick took the day off so he could be with Taylor on her birthday. I went to work for a couple of hours so they had some time with just the two of them. After lunch we gave her a cupcake which she devoured and made quite a mess of.
Saturday we had her party and she got lots of nice gifts. Nick's parents and Abuelo drove up for the weekend and we were sooo glad they did! We had a nice visit with them and they were very helpful (Thank you!!!) Getting ready for the party was a little stressful and there were a few things we didn't get done that we hoped to, but everything was fine. It's getting late and I'm tired so I'll post just a few pictures for now. More to come later.

If I could be like Ella

I think Taylor wants to be like her older cousin Ella. You wouldn't know it from these two pictures, but Taylor is not a paci baby. She is a thumb sucker when she sleeps. But I found this pacifier the other day and gave it to her while she was playing just to see what she'd do. Mostly she just chews on it, but I was quick enough (twice!) to catch her actually sucking on it the right way (well, almost). With her hair in pig tails (or "twin pony tails" as my hilarious and oh-so-clever husband likes to call them) and in Ella's old clothes (b/c that's what she wears most all the time) she really looks like she's trying to be like Ella. I thought it was too cute not to share.

"I'll teach you!"

I was running Taylor's bath water last night and had already taken off her diaper. She pulled herself up like she does on most everything these days. I thought her chubby little profile was so funny that I had to get a picture. So I did. And what does she do? She repays me by first, tee teeing on the recently mopped floor, and second, sticking her tongue out at me. I guess she taught me a lesson. I'm just glad I caught in on camera.

Twinkies

Taylor and I were twinkies (twins, for those of you who don't know the lingo) on Sunday. I had a pretty little dress picked out for her to wear to church, but then I changed my mind once I got dressed. I wanted her to wear leggings and coordinate with me so I dressed her accordingly. I thought we looked pretty cute :)
